Seed Sovereignty Field Day, January 27

Round the Bend Farm will host a "Seed Sovereignty Field Day" on January 27, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The event will include a day-long workshop on the topic of seed saving, and will highlight the movement to reclaim seeds, re-localize seeds, and empower growers to participate in the process.

Topics covered in the workshop will include state of organic and regionally-adapted seed and keeping seed in the public commons, incorporating seed work into existing farms or gardens, participory plant breeding, and questions-and-answers with experts from several organizations.

Registration for the event is $60 for Northeast Organic Farming Association members and scholarships are available.

The event is hosted through a collaboration with the Ivory Silo Seed Project, Round the Bend Farm, the Young Farmer Network of Southeastern New England, NOFA/Mass, and the Organic Seed Alliance.
