Bertha C. (Goncalo) Shea, 89, of Dartmouth, died December 13, 2017 at Fall River Healthcare Center after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Robert R.C. Shea.

Born in Fall River, Bertha was the daughter of the late Walter and Emma Goncalo, and she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.

She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church and was formerly employed by Luzo Bank for several years until her retirement.

Survivors include 6 sons, Robert R.C. Shea and Paul F. Shea, both of California; Peter Z. Shea, Christopher J. Shea, and Jeremy E. Shea, all of Dartmouth; and Justin P. Shea of Lakeville; 4 daughters, Kathleen D. Messina, Deborah A. Shea, and Elizabeth K. Souza, all of Dartmouth; and Jennifer K. Shapiro of Little Compton; 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Burial was at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River.
