Carlos Alberto, 82, formerly of New Bedford, died on December 24, 2017 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth.

He was the son of the late Manuel Correia and Maria Tania (Alves Monteiro) Santos.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, he resided in New Bedford for many years.

Mr. Alberto was employed as a mason until his retirement. He was a very religious man and his faith was a great source of comfort to him.

His family includes his nieces and nephews: Joaquim "Jackie" Santos and his wife, Sherrie Silva-Santos, who were his caregivers, Candida Rose, Kathleen Santos-Champion, George Baptista, Jeffrey Baptista, Manny Santos and Robert Santos and several great-nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel Santos, Joaquim Santos, Frank Santos, Tony Santos, Margaret Santos DosSantos and Gertrude Santos.

Visiting hours are omitted. Burial was in Rural Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home, 129 Allen St., New Bedford.
