New coalition to host climate change film screening

Jan 8, 2018

The South Coast Climate Change Coalition will host a free screening of the film An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power on January 18, 7 p.m., at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s Woodland Commons building.

The film is a sequel to An Inconvenient Truth, which followed Al Gore on the lecture circuit as he campaigned to raise public awareness about the dangers of climate change. The follow-up film documents how close the world is to a real energy revolution.

The screening is being hosted by the newly-formed group, which seeks to help local communities in the region identify resources to address the real-time effects of climate change while enhancing the environmental and economic resiliency of these communities.

The showing is free and open to the public. A panel discussion will follow at the end of the film. Seating is limited, and pre-registration is recommended.
