Irish folk singer coming to the Southworth Library on March 7

Jan 23, 2018

Dublin-born folklorist, singer, and instrumentalist Tom O’Carroll will perform at the Southworth Library, March 7, 6:30 p.m.

An internationally known folk singer, he has played at concerts, festivals, colleges, libraries, and pubs all over the U.S. and Canada, as well as in South Korea and his native Ireland.

Whether he is playing a plaintive air on the tin whistle or singing and playing rousing traditional songs to the accompaniment of the guitar, Tom will captivate all with his lively program of Irish culture.

Coming as it does just a week before St. Patrick’s Day, this program should provide an evening of fun during the drab days of late winter.

The concert, sponsored by The Friends of Dartmouth Libraries, is free and open to the public. The library is located at 732 Dartmouth Street and is handicap accessible.
