Wareham man arrested after allegedly fleeing from Dartmouth police

A Wareham man is facing numerous charges after allegedly fleeing from police and crashing his car in Dartmouth on January 24.

According to Dartmouth police, an officer attempted to stop a 2002 Kia Optima driven by 25-year-old Anthony Terry of Wareham on Slocum Road near Mary Ann Way at 5:40 p.m. for alleged motor vehicle infractions.

Terry allegedly failed to stop for police, and in the process of fleeing, struck two vehicles at the intersection of Slocum Road and Allen Street before crashing into a utility pole.

He was arrested after the crash, and faces charges of failure to stop for police, unlicensed operation, negligent operation, failure to stop for a red light, a marked lanes violation, driving at a speed greater than reasonable, a passing violation, failure to use a seat belt, and no inspection sticker.
