Former Patriot Rodney Harrison to appear at university dinner
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Center for Marketing Research will feature former New England Patriot Rodney Harrison at its annual Celebrity/Scholarship Dinner on April 24 at 6 p.m. at Venus de Milo in Swansea.
The annual dinner serves to highlight the center’s work and funds a scholarship program for UMass Dartmouth students. To date, $200,000 has been awarded to 260 students through the scholarship program.
Harrison is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and winner of two Super Bowl rings. During his career, he set and still holds a record for sacks by a defensive back, and became the first NFL player with 30 sacks and 30 interceptions. .
He retired from professional football in 2009. He is currently a commentator for Sunday Night Football on NBC.
