Dorothy A. (Rebello) Froias, 84, of Dartmouth, died on April 10, 2018 at Our Lady's Haven following a brief illness.

She was the wife of Arthur Froias, with whom she shared nearly 61 years of marriage, and the daughter of the late John and Palmeda (Fontes) Rebello.

Born in East Taunton, she resided in New Bedford from 1957 to 1965 before moving to Dartmouth.

Mrs. Froias was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in South Dartmouth.

She was employed as a solderer at Aerovox and later in the dietary department at St. Luke's Hospital until her retirement.

She was a talented baker who was known for her apple pies. She loved ice cream, was an avid swimmer and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Her family includes her husband; her daughter, Kathleen D. Mello and her husband Daniel of New Bedford; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn V. Medeiros and her husband, Nicholas and Rebecca D. Mello and her companion, Dalton Simmons, all of New Bedford; a great-grandson, James Joseph Medeiros and her brother, Kenneth J. Rebello and his wife, Judith, of Florida.

Interment was in Rural Cemetery.
