Man arrested for alleged drug possession

A North Dartmouth resident was arrested for allegedly possessing $965 worth of narcotics, according to Dartmouth Police officials.

Javier Nova, 29, was arrested on Thursday after both Dartmouth Police and the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department Warrant Apprehension Team executed a search warrant at his 29 Middlesex Ave. address.

The warrant was related to a narcotics investigation headed by Dartmouth Det. Derek Sousa. Upon searching the house, police allegedly found 28 grams of Fentanyl, 13 grams of crack cocaine and other materials commonly associated with the packaging of narcotics.

Nova was arrested for the possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, another subsequent offense of possession with intent to distribute and trafficking in Fentanyl.
