A mother and her son were sent to the hospital after being hit by a car at the Dartmouth Mall on June 19.

Officers responded to the report of a crash at 7:19 p.m. According to Dartmouth Police, the 27-year-old woman, identified as Karina Maldonado, and her 8-year-old son were struck by a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by 53-year-old Elizabeth Platt of Lakeville.

The mother and son were transported to Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed. The crash remains under investigation by Dartmouth police.
