The Dartmouth Knights of Columbus will host its 29th annual Get Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs fishing derby on August 4 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The derby will be held on Mello’s Pond, located one mile west of UMass Dartmouth on Old Westport Road.

The event is free to attend, and is suitable for kids between the ages of 6 and 16.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Bait will be provided.

The entrance to the pond is on the left coming from UMass Dartmouth, and the fishing site is located at the end of the dirt road.

A rain date is August 11 at the same time.
