The site was home to John Russell, one of Dartmouth’s founding proprietors, and was the site of several interactions between settlers and Native Americans during King Phillip’s war. Herbster will present the history of the site from the earliest Native American occupation through the excavation and reconstruction work. Light refreshments will be served and a $5 donation is suggested. The lecture will be held at the Dartmouth Grange Hall, located at 1133 Fisher Rd.
