Claire A. (Blouin) Costa, 80, of Dartmouth, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Autumn Glen, Dartmouth. She was the wife of the late Joseph Costa, Jr. 

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Haslam) Blouin, she was a lifelong resident of the New Bedford / Dartmouth area. A graduate of St. Luke's Nursing School, she was a registered nurse for Child and Family Services in New Bedford and at Taunton State Hospital for many years. She will always be remembered for her dedication throughout the years to her patients. Mrs. Costa enjoyed shopping, yard sales, her pet dogs, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

Survivors include a daughter: Karen J. Ripley and her husband George of Dartmouth; 2 brothers: Arthur Blouin of NV and Roger Blouin of OH; 3 grandchildren: George Ripley V, Andrea Costa and Elisabeth Ripley; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was mother of the late Christopher J. Costa. 

Funeral was held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home. 

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
