Learn how to help your pet in an emergency at a Pet CPR and First Aid Training class.
The class will be held on October 19, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Dartmouth Fire District No. 3’s 140 Cross Road headquarters.
It will be led by a 25-plus year pre-hospital care provider and educator, and is geared towards “pet parents,” pet care professionals, animal rescue volunteers, and emergency service personnel.
The training class will include a lecture, demonstration, and an emphasis on hands-on skills practice.
The cost is $65. Participants will receive a detailed handbook, certificate of completion, and an emergency muzzle.
The event is sponsored by the Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group (DDAWG), which is working to bring a permanent dog park to Dartmouth. A portion of the proceeds from the training class will benefit DDAWG.
Pre-registration and payment is required in advance.
