The Bishop Stang Theatre Company will present playwright Joseph Kesselring's Arsenic and Old Lace on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16 at 7 p.m. on the stage at Bishop Stang High School.

Arsenic and Old Lace follows the story of the eccentric Brewster family. The quirky comedy is full of plot twists and colorful characters.

Mortimer Brewster (Caleb Hughes) is a drama critic who hates the theatre, but leads a normal life until a visit to his spinster aunts Abby Brewster (Phoenix Carreiro) and Martha Brewster (Ellen Scarano) reveals a deadly secret buried in their basement.

Hilarity and madness ensues as Mortimer tries to wrangle his crazy aunts, along with his brothers — Theodore (Xavier Markey), who believes he is Theodore Roosevelt, and the murderous Jonathan (Philip Marcalo).

Macabre mayhem follows the family throughout.

Rounding out the ensemble are Myra Wong, Lily Saulnier, Emma Chausse, David Habboosh, Nashwan Habboosh, Neda Habboosh, Andrew Magalhaes, Allison Pereira, and Ryan Saucier.

There is a special remembrance of Ryan Howarth from the class of 1999, whose classmates reunited in October and raised money for this production in his memory.
