Saturday, December 14

Make a tote, help animals.

Heatlhy Futures Farm will host a craft fundraiser at the Humane Society and Shelter SouthCoast’s 31 Ventura Drive shelter from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include making reusable tote bags from repurposed grain and making custom holiday wreaths. Fifty percent of proceeds benefit the Shelter. All supplies are included. Tickets are $30. Visit Facebook.com/HealthyFuturesFarm to buy tickets.

Fill a bus for kids in need. 

The Dartmouth Police Department, along with Safe Zones and Tremblay’s Bus Company, will host its annual Fill-The-Bus Toy Drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Target, 479 State Rd. Police will be on hand to collect toys for kids in need. A bus will be parked and awaiting donations, with the goal to fill it completely with donations for children in need.

Sunday, December 15

Decorate with sea artifacts.

Mass Audubon will be hosting a holiday-themed sea glass and pebble art workshop from 9 a.m. to noon at the Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary field station at 1280 Horseneck Road. Participants will be able to explore the variety of pebbles, sea glass and other treasures that wash up on the shore via a guided beach walk where they can collect pebbles, pieces of weathered glass, pottery and more. The cost of the program is $25 per person for Mass Audubon members and $30 per person for non-members. Visit massaudubon.org/program-catalog for more information or to register.

Celebrate at a yuletide concert.

The Bridge: A Center for Hope and Healing will host a yuletide holiday concert at 2 p.m. The concert will include a performance by the Buttonwood Brass Trio, who will cover holiday hits. It will be held at St. Peter’s Church, 351 Elm Street. Refreshments will also be served. Tickets are $15 per person at the door. Tickets can also be purchased in advance.  Call (508) 997-0903 to buy tickets in advance.

Tuesday, December 17

Come together for support.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will host a special Blue Christmas service at the 351 Elm Street church at 7 p.m. Anyone in need of support or who is dealing with depression, sadness, and grief during this holiday season is invited to attend. There will be a candle lighting ceremony in memory of those lives lost, or for any other reason as a symbol of resilience and hope.
