Event has passed
February 1, 2020 marks the 130th year since John Haywood Southworth gifted a distinctive stone building to the Town of Dartmouth for public use as a library.
Since then, the Olde Southworth Library has stood as a Dartmouth landmark in the heart of historic Padanaram Village.
Celebrate this milestone in the building itself with the Dartmouth Cultural Center, on Saturday, February 1 from 4 to 6 p.m.
There will be cake, champagne, and a silent auction.
Guests are asked to RSVP at dartmouthculturalcenterinc.org/events/olde-southworth-library-130th-anniversary-celebration.
The Dartmouth Cultural Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the building and giving back to the community with cultural offerings.
The Olde Southworth Library is located at 404 Elm Street in Padanaram, South Dartmouth.
