Dartmouth High ranked among the best schools in the country
Dartmouth High School has ranked among the best public schools in the state and across the country this year by the U.S. News and World Report, scoring higher than 81 percent of public schools nationwide.
The school was listed at number 3,371 out of nearly 18,000 ranked schools in the country and earned the 132nd spot out of 378 schools in Massachusetts.
Rankings from the U.S. News and World Report take six weighted factors into consideration: College readiness, curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency, performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.
The news of the ranking “was a good positive during this time of a lot of negatives,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bonny Gifford noted during a remote School Committee meeting on April 27.
“We were just happy to see that,” Gifford added.
