Learn about sustainable seafood at upcoming virtual summit

UMass Dartmouth and Farm to Institution New England have teamed up to present an online summit focused on encouraging South Coast institutions to support local seafood producers, kelp, and underutilized local fish species.
This free, online event takes place on Feb. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Attendees will learn about the challenges and the importance of local food initiatives.
The one-day event includes presentations from regional seafood experts on how a team of colleges and supply chain partners tackled procurement issues.
Speakers will also share how they worked to bring underutilized species into community and university dining programs, along with the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.
