The town is seeking members for its newly established Broadband Network Advisory Committee.

Members will be tasked with evaluating market demand and models for internet service delivery for the town’s residents.

“Basically, they’re tasked with seeing if it’s a viable alternative for the town to provide its own municipal broadband network,” Town Administrator Shawn MacInnes previously said.

The committee will consist of seven members including the town’s Director of Development, Information Technology Director, Director of Community Media, and four members of the community appointed by the Select Board.

The Select Board unanimously voted to create the committee in June.
