Opinion: Happy hunting, good reading!
To the Editor:
I have always been a big reader, starting at age 11 when my mother gave me a copy of Jane Eyre. Now 67 years later it is what I do most often.
I belong to the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries where we have two booksales a year, one in the spring and another in the fall, of donated books. But I have found a better benefit for me, which is going through the sales that are ongoing at both the main library and our newish one on Cross Road north of Route 6. This is where I find new writers that I never would have found going through the lending collection because there are too many there. From these shelves I can buy them and keep my home bookshelves filled.
I urge my Dartmouth neighbors to do the same. Happy hunting and good reading!
