DCTV wins awards across four categories
Dartmouth Community Media took home multiple accolades at the 16th Annual Nor’Easter Awards back in December, where its contributions to community media were recognized with awards in four categories, including first place in the “Overall Excellence 2023” for budgeting.
DCTV’s “Helpful Hints for Holiday Cooking with Chef Henry” received first place in the instructional and training category. “Dartmouth Police Porch Pirates” got second place for PSA/short programs. Additionally, “Dartmouth High School Thanksgiving Football 2023 Game” earned third in sports programming.
The awards were hosted by the Alliance for Community Media’s Northeast Region in Mystic, Connecticut on Dec. 9. Each year, the Nor’Easter Awards recognize creative programs distributed through Public, Educational and Government access channels. Awards are for content that meet community needs, foster civic engagement and reimagines the potential of television.
“We are incredibly honored to receive these awards,” said Peter Chasse, director of media for DCTV. “I would like to thank the DCTV staff — Michael Moniz, Daniel Medeiros and Chad Amaral — along with Detective Kyle Costa, Henry Bousquet and our dedicated part-time employees. Their hard work and dedication have been instrumental in creating these programs, and it’s a great honor to have that effort recognized.”
