Explore watercolor techniques with local artist

May 14, 2025

Event Date:

Saturday, May 17, 2025 - 1:00pm

Explore techniques for creating different effects in watercolor painting in a two-hour workshop with local artist and teacher Jane Bregoli.

The workshop, which is hosted by the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries, will take place Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18 — both at 1 p.m. at the North Dartmouth Library. Painters of all skill levels are welcome to register for one of the workshop dates and are expected to bring their own supplies: watercolor paints, paper and brushes.

Because space is limited, advance registration is required and can be made by calling the library at 508-999-0726.

Jane Bregoli is a well-known local artist whose mediums include oil and watercolor paint, etching and clay and has previously held classes for the Friends. In addition, she is the author and illustrator of the multiple award-winning book, “The Goat Lady,” about the life of Noelie Houle, a long-time Dartmouth resident.

The newly created ebook version of “The Goat Lady” is now available at the Dartmouth libraries.  Bregoli also has a new book, “The Goat Lady Whispers to Bees,” coming out in late summer.  Bregoli received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

This workshop is free and open to the public.  For more information, e-mail fodl.libraries@gmail.com.
