The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has released its 2024-25 All-America Scholar awards with the UMass Dartmouth softball team garnering academic honors.

UMass Dartmouth is one of three Little East Conference teams to be honored for their work in the classroom this past season, including Eastern Connecticut State and Western Connecticut State. 

The UMASS Dartmouth Corsairs finished the season with a 20 to 18 overall record and a 7 to 9 mark in conference play. 

The team reached the Little East Tournament for the 11th straight season after securing the sixth seeded spot, facing third seeded Plymouth State University in the opening game on May 7.

Senior outfielder Kina Takasugi and junior third baseman RaeLynn Perregaux  were chosen to be the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All-Region Third Team for the 2025 campaign. 

Additionally, they were each named to the All-Little East Conference's First Team while first year pitcher Edy Crawford was tabbed on the All-Rookie Team.
