DARTMOUTH-Antonio "Tony" Linhares, 80, died June 19, 2025. Husband of Maria L. (daSilva) Linhares.

 

Born in Ribeira Quente, São Miguel, Açores, he immigrated to New Bedford in 1955 residing in Dartmouth since 1972. Parishioner of St. Mary Church.

 

Employed as a metal roller at Teledyne Rodney Metals for 29 years. Member of Portuguese American Social Club.

 

Survivors: wife, Maria L. Linhares; sons, Ronald M. Linhares and Kevin S. Linhares and wife, Danielle; sisters, Maria Furtado, Frances Macedo and husband, Luis, Maria Fatima daSilva and husband, Karl; grandson, Colton Antonio Linhares; nieces and nephews.

 

Predeceased by brother, João Leite and wife Ana and brother-in-law, John Furtado.

 

Visiting hours 5:00-8:00 P.M. June 24, 2025. Funeral June 25, 2025 at 8:45 A.M. at funeral home with 10:00 A.M. Mass in St. Mary Church, Dartmouth. Interment: St. John Cemetery.
