Carmen M. Allain, 97

Carmen M. Allain, 97, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Allain.

Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late Carlos and Maria (Rodil) Medeiros. 

Carmen retired as a social worker with the Department of Transitional Assistance.

She and her husband enjoyed spending winters at their Florida home.

Carmen lived life with joy and enthusiasm. She loved music, dancing, singing, gardening, and art. A talented musician, she played guitar and piano and briefly attended the Swain School of Design. She was also an animal lover, especially to her dogs, Gigi and Mojo.

Above all, Carmen cherished her family, including her children, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, creativity, and love of music.
