Get a little shell-fish in August and take a Saturday afternoon off to join the Smith Neck Friends Meeting for its annual clambake.

On Aug. 10, starting at 1:30 p.m., enjoy homemade quahog chowder and brown bread, stuffing, fish, corn, sausage, clams, potatoes and watermelon.

Attendees are invited to come starting at 12 p.m. to watch the baking.

Take out is available from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
