Daniel P. Faber, 72, of Dartmouth, MA passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Dan was the husband of Anne (Murphy) Faber, they were together for 50 years. Dan was born in Acushnet, MA to the late Joseph and Mary (Regan) Faber. He lived all of his life in Dartmouth and spent winters in Bradenton, Florida.
During his youth Dan worked for Faber's Glass, his family's glass company, and was a talented creator and restorer of leaded glass. He was a commercial fisherman for many years before starting his own construction company. As owner of Dan's Restoration, Inc. for over 35 years, many co-workers and people he met along the way became his life-long friends. He was a hard worker all of his life.
Dan was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing year-round golf with friends, family, and especially with his wife, Anne. He also enjoyed music, dancing, cards, and sunshine. Dan was an adventurous man who loved life. He was a storyteller with an incredible memory of life events. He was a loving and generous man, who was always there for everyone. Dan loved his family and his family loved and adored him.
Dan is survived by his wife Anne, his daughter Megan and her fiancé Matthew Beechinor and his son Eric Lyonnais and his wife Carrie; his brother Michael Faber and his wife Joyce of Punta Gorda, Florida; his sister-in-law Mary Simpson, her daughter Amy DuBois and her son Andrew Simpson and their families who all reside in Dartmouth; his grandchildren Ashley and Kyle Lyonnais, Stratton and Molly Beechinor, and Lyn and Kayla Gippo. Dan also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Edward Ryan of California and Patrick Faber of Florida.
Funeral and burial are private and there will be a memorial planned for Dan in the future. Arrangements are in care of Waring-Sullivan Home @ Dartmouth.
