Dartmouth High athletics on pause due to Covid

Jan 4, 2022

Dartmouth High’s winter sports season will be on pause until Jan. 10, the school district announced Tuesday.

In a letter to families and athletes, Athletic Director Andrew Crisafulli wrote that due to an increase in positive Covid-19 cases among the teams following the holidays, all practices and games would be put on hold until Monday, Jan. 10.

On that date, the school district will re-evaluate the pause with the intention of implementing a return-to-play timeline that school officials feel is “safe and appropriate.”

“We feel that this decision is in the best interest of our student-athletes,” Crisafulli wrote.

Coaches will be in contact with student-athletes to share sport-specific information once any adjustments are finalized.
