Jun 16, 2015
Dartmouth Police have issued a warning for residents regarding a recent scooter theft in town.
According to its Facebook page, the department recently received a report of a stolen motor scooter. Police said the scooter was recovered within two hours of the report being filed. Upon examination of the scooter, Patrolman Steve Canario determined that the original ignition had been replaced with a new ignition.
Police are advising that those with scooters lock up the vehicles appropriately as ignitions can be swapped out as easily and cheaply.
