Dartmouth will be hopping this Easter season

Dartmouth will be a hop-pening place this Easter.

On two consecutive Saturdays, children can hunt for eggs at two separate events in town.

The Dartmouth Recreation Department will host its 11th annual Easter egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1 at Apponagansett Park. 

The event is open to children 3 to 7. Pre-registration is required. Call the department at (508) 910-1812 for more information.

The event is open to town residents; children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Rain date for the free event is Sunday April 2. 

On Saturday, April 8 the Dartmouth YMCA, 276 Gulf Road, will host its Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Padanaram Community Coalition. 

There will be a little kiddies hunt for ages 1 to 4 at 10 a.m.; a hunt for those five and older at 10:30 a.m. and a family scavenger hunt at 11 a.m. 

Find the golden egg and a child five and older will receive a free week at Camp Metacomet. 

Peter Rabbit will visit and a petting zoo will be on site. 

The cost is $10 per family, with YMCA families admitted free. Online registration is encouraged.
