Fire District No. 3 and Safe Kids Rhode Island have teamed up for a car seat check day on Saturday, June 10 at the district's 140 Cross Road headquarters. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., certified technicians will help families properly install car seats.

Correctly used child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by up to 71 percent, according to Safe Kids Worldwide.
