Do you have a story to tell? Head to the North Branch Library
Common Ground: Community Stories is an ambitious oral history project and exhibition, aimed at creating a full picture of the Greater New Bedford region and residents through story collection. A key goal is to give voice to community members. By gathering individual stories, Common Ground presents a diverse, inclusive, and celebratory accounting of the lived experiences of South Coast residents.
From now through Sept. 21, North Branch Library is hosting a mobile recording booth. The library’s Community Room has been reserved for most Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons, meaning those who wish to share a story can just drop in then. Recordings can be up to 10 minutes. Need more time? Then submit a second recording. For more information, please stop by North Branch Library, located at 211 Cross Rd., or reach out to Dina St. Pierre, Director of Libraries, at 508-999-0726 or dstpierre@town.dartmouth.ma.us.
