The Humane Society and Shelter SouthCoast is gearing up for its annual Easter Extravangza fundraiser, and needs help from the community to do so.

The nonprofit animal shelter is seeing easter gift basket donations from area businesses, schools, organizations, and individuals. The donated gift baskets will be on display at the shelter for a month leading up to the April 4 Extravaganza.

Those wishing to donate gift baskets are asked to do so by March 1.

The Extravaganza itself will be held on April 4 beginning at 12:30 p.m. Animal meet-and-greets, drawings, and other activities will be offered. Raffle tickets for the drawings are on sale now at the shelter.
