Fairhaven man arrested following narcotics investigation

Police arrested a Fairhaven man at the Capri Motel on February 16 following a joint narcotics investigation.

At approximately 5:05 p.m., members of the Dartmouth Police, Barnstable Police, and the Bristol County Sheriff's Office entered room 127 at the motel with a search warrant. Police arrested Jose Sanches, 43, on a previous arrest warrant for trafficking Fentanyl, said police.

Detectives also found 18 grams of Fetanyl, a digital scale, packaging material, as well as Suboxone strips and Alprazolam, said police.

In addition to the arrest warrant, Sanches was charged with trafficking in more than 10 grams of Fentanyl, possession of a Class B drug (Suboxone), and possession of Class E drug (Alprazolam), said police.
