Fall River man charged with Dartmouth Mall Carnival indecent assault and battery
A Fall River man was arrested at the Dartmouth Mall Carnival just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 and is being charged with indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over as well as accosting/annoying another person, according to the Dartmouth Police Department.
At approximately 10:08 p.m., officers assigned to carnival patrol detail were alerted to an on-site disturbance. Jeffrey Lehman, 54, allegedly followed a victim and her friends for a period of time before he reportedly approached her and began touching her inappropriately, according to Dartmouth Police.
It is alleged that Lehman continued with inappropriate comments, then placed money down the victim’s shirt, according to Dartmouth Police. When other attendees of the carnival learned of the conflict, they created a barrier between the victim and Lehman. Lehman was arrested by police upon their arrival.
