Free programs at Allens Pond

Apr 23, 2021

Mass Audubon is hosting a free program series at Allens Pond from April through early November.

The Nature Discovery & STEAM programs are hands-on, nature-based experiences designed for children ages 3-5 to attend with a caregiver. Kids will create art, participate in STEM activities, listen to stories, and explore the outdoors.

Each Tuesday morning program follows a theme (such as backyard birds, bats, rocks, apples), that focuses on sensory development and environmental conservation.

Programs with the “Tidal Zones” theme meet at the Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary Field Station at 1280 Horseneck Road in Westport. All other sessions meet at the Stone Barn Farm at Allens Pond at 786 Horseneck Road in Dartmouth.

While all programs are free, pre-registration is required and can be completed at massaudubon.org/allenspondprograms. All children and all accompanying adults must be included in the registration to ensure compliance with Covid mandates regarding group size limits.
