Get into the Halloween spirit this month and join the town community for some ghoulish fun.
Saturday, Oct. 13
On Sunday, Oct. 13 the Cottages of Dartmouth Village is hosting a Halloween haunted house, with trick-or-treating and light refreshments from 1 to 3 p.m.
Guests are invited and encouraged to wear costumes. The event will take place at the Cottages at Dartmouth Village, located at 274 Slocum Road.
Saturday, Oct. 19
Join Dartmouth Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9059 for its annual Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 19.
There will be live music by DJ JR and guests should dress to impress for a chance to win a prize for the best Halloween costume. The event starts at 7 p.m. at 144 Cross Road.
Friday, Oct. 25
It’s time to know once and for all if Frankenstein’s monster is faster than humans.
Compete in the Cottages at Dartmouth Village’s Frankenstein Friday Relay Race, starting at 1:30 p.m. in Aspen Cottage and there will be snacks at 2:30 p.m. in Community Cottage. The event will take place at the Cottages at Dartmouth Village, located at 274 Slocum Road.
Saturday, Oct. 26
Enjoy sweet treats and sweet rides at an upcoming trunk or treat event.
Dartmouth’s annual trunk or treat will be back for its seventh year.
From noon to 3 p.m. visitors can enjoy some spooky music, vote for their favorite trunk and enter a raffle, which closes at 2:45 p.m. The event is on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Stackhouse Club, located at 16 Faith Street in South Dartmouth.
The event’s rain date is Sunday, Oct. 27.
Thursday, Oct. 31
At the Council on Aging’s upcoming Halloween costume party, enjoy refreshments and a blast from the past with Elvis impersonator Keith Lewis.
The party will be on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Dartmouth Council on Aging, located at 628 Dartmouth Street.
The event costs $10 to attend and pre-registration is required.
