Here’s what’s happening at the Council on Aging this June

The Dartmouth Council on Aging has announced its list of events for the month of June.

Health and Wellness

The center will run a “Throw a Punch at Parkinson’s” boxing exercise program on Tuesdays, 1-2 p.m. Call the Center for more information.

Bristol-Plymouth nursing students will host a mini health fair focused on wellness concerns of older adults on June 23, 9:30-11 a.m.

An essential oil workshop will take place on June 24, 11:15 a.m.

A presentation on cannabis and its uses for natural healing is June 25, 1 p.m. Call the center to pre-register.

Arts and Entertainment

The Country Three Band will perform on June 5, 1:30-3:30 p.m. The cost is $4, and walk-ins are welcome.

A free memoirs writing workshop is scheduled for June 3, 1-3 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

The June Matinee film series will feature “A Dog’s Way Home” on June 13, 1:30 p.m. Sign-up is required and free popcorn will be provided.

Learn about and create art with your children or grandchildren at Family Art Explorations. Four sessions will be held on Tuesdays starting on June 18, 3:30-4:30 p.m. The cost is $4 per person/child.

Billy Coutu will perform at the Summer Shindig on June 21, 12 p.m. The cost is $6, and pre-registration is required.

Education

The Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs will host an online safety presentation on June 17, 1 p.m. Call the Center to pre-register.
