Joao Antonio Ferreira, 93, passed away on January 2, 2018.

He was the husband of Judite (Matos) Ferreira with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.

Born in Porto De Mos, Portugal he immigrated to the United States in 1966. He was the son of the late Norberto and Nazare Ferreira. He worked as a carpenter in the local area.

Survivors in addition to his wife are his son Norberto M. Ferreira of Fort Myers, FL; his daughter Georgette Vieira of Dartmouth; his son Antonio M. Ferreira of West Hollywood, CA; three sisters, Emilia Fonseca of Portugal, Maria Nascimento of Acushnet, Carminda Pedro of South Dartmouth, a brother Augusto Ferreira of South Dartmouth; two grandchildren: Michael Vieira of Acushnet, Jessica Vieira of Dartmouth, two great-grandchildren Devyn Vieira, Ethan Vieira and many nieces and nephews.
