The Paskamansett Bird Club will present a lecture on the osprey and its revival as a global raptor on October 9 at 7:30 p.m. 

The presentation will be hosted by Alan Poole, an associate of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It will focus on the osprey’s resurgence globally over the past 50 years, thanks to cleaner waters, less contaminated fish, and greening cultures. 

Topics will include where ospreys are found, and work that has gone into making the revival possible.

The talk will be held at the Community Hall of Friends, 739 Horseneck Rd.
