The Lloyd Center and Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures will host a stand-up paddle boarding class for beginners at the center on June 16, 10 a.m. - 12 noon.

The class will cover the basics, including equipment, water entry and balance, proper stance and positioning, paddling techniques, safety, and etiquette.

Those wishing to attend are asked to wear clothing that can get wet and bring a non-alcoholic drink.

The cost is $55 for Lloyd Center members, and $65 for non-members. Pre-registration is required by June 26.

The event will be held at the center’s 430 Potomska Road location.
