Jul 31, 2023

Mark Richard Curry, age 66, of Dartmouth passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, after a battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA). He died at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Nancy A. (Camacho) Curry with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.

He was born and raised in New Bedford, but has lived the last 35 years in Dartmouth. Mark was the son of Florence (Gannon) Curry and the late Richard L. Curry. He graduated from Holy Family High School with the class of 1974 and continued his education at Southeastern Massachusetts University; now known as UMASS Dartmouth; where he received his bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Mark worked as an electrical engineer at Raytheon for 43 years before his illness. Over the years Mark coached for DYSA and DYAA; he especially enjoyed working at Gillette Stadium for DSMA. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his smokes, shooting at the range, playing games, and was an avid fan of the Patriots.

Mark’s family would like to thank all the PCU staff at St. Luke’s Hospital for his exceptional care.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mark is survived by his children, Angela (Curry) Clark and her husband Patrick of Billerica, Patrick Curry of Dallas, TX, and Alex Curry and his wife Annalia of Springfield, VA; his grandchildren, Lincoln and Sabrina Clark and Ezra Curry; his siblings, Sandra Dias of New Bedford, and Richard Curry of Santa Ynez, CA; six nephews, his dear sister-in-laws and close friends.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
