The governor announced over $1.7 million to acquire retired cranberry bogs for wetland preservation. Most of the funding will go to Barnstable, but $179,745 will head to the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust. 

The organization will be renovating Flag Swamp Bog on Old Fall River Road, turning it into a natural wetland and area for hiking trails.
