Learn about the New Bedford Highway Serial Killer at a talk by Maureen Boyle, author of “Shallow Graves,” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Southworth Library, 732 Dartmouth Street. Boyle, an investigative reporter, broke the story in 1988 and stayed with it for decades. Eleven New Bedford women went missing over the spring and summer of 1988, and the remains of nine of them were discovered along highways in Dartmouth, Freetown, and Westport. The case remains unsolved. This event is free and open to the public.
