At 8 p.m., get a closer look at the night sky at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Observatory Open House, a free event sponsored by UMass and the Astronomical Society of Southern New England. Viewing will take place through the observatory's 16-inch telescope and other telescopes. The event will only take place if there are clear skies. The observatory is in the field to the right of the main entrance to campus, with parking available on Ring Road and lot 17.
