Our Herd, a group of residents, farmers and conservationists in Dartmouth and Westport that are concerned about the deer population, will host a second public meeting about the problem. The meeting will take place Wednesday, September 6th at 7pm at the Dartmouth Grange Hall, 1133 Fisher Road, Dartmouth.

The group’s planning committee includes members of the Agricultural Committees of Dartmouth and Westport, local non-profits, Mass Audubon and RI Department of Fish and Wildlife. Our Herd aims to educate the public on the issue of white-tailed deer, provide information and resources to the community, coordinate efforts between landowners and hunters, provide a safe and productive way to connect and work together to bring balance back to the deer population.

Speakers will include Gina Purtell of Mass Audubon and Deanna Levanti of Ivory Silo Farm in Westport.
