Pedestrian struck by car on Route 6 dies
A pedestrian struck by a car on July 16 near the Moby Dick Motel on Route 6 has died from his injuries, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.
Ryan Silvia, 37, of Fall River died at Rhode Island Hospital Sunday evening after he was hit by a car near 671 State Road at around 9:15 p.m. last Thursday.
Dartmouth Police were called to the scene, and first responders found Silvia unresponsive in the roadway with significant injuries after being struck by a white BMW 323i. The driver remained on the scene.
Silvia was transported by med flight to Rhode Island Hospital, where he remained in critical condition until passing away on July 19, according to the District Attorney’s office.
Massachusetts State Police detectives from the Bristol County District Attorney’s office are investigating with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section as well as Dartmouth Police detectives.
