Select Board approves Town Election ballot
The ballot for the Tuesday, April 7 town election is now set after Select Board members voted to approve it at a meeting on Monday, March 9.
Only one race is contested this year, with four people vying for Stanley Mickelson’s seat on the Select Board. The other positions appearing on the ballot are the following:
Two seats on the School Committee
A one year, unexpired term on the Board of Health
Three-year term on the Board of Health,
Three-year term on the Board of Assessors
Two, three-year terms on the Library Board of Trustees
Five-year term on the Planning Board
Three-year term on the Parks and Recreation Board
Five-year term on the Housing Authority
Voting locations for each precinct this year haven’t changed, and polls will be open at the following locations:
Precinct One: North Branch Library; 211 Cross Rd
Precinct Two: Smith Mills Christian Congregational Church; 11 Anderson Way
Precinct Three: UMass Dartmouth; 285 Old Westport Rd
Precinct Four: Dartmouth Bible Church; 52 Morton Ave
Precinct Five: Town Hall; 400 Slocum Rd
Precincts Six and Nine: Council on Aging; 628 Dartmouth St
Precinct Seven: Dartmouth Youth Activities Association; 225 Russells Mills Rd
Precinct Eight: Southworth Library; 732 Dartmouth St
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
