Shawn Patrick Quinn, 48, passed away on May 26, 2020. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Thomas and Barbara (Therrien) Quinn of Dartmouth.

Shawn was raised in Dartmouth from the age of 5 and lived there most of his life. He moved to New Bedford after marrying.

Shawn’s love of music began at an early age with his parents’ vinyl records and he went on to sing and play the bass guitar in a band. His mother passed on her artistic abilities to Shawn and his intricate drawings have been hung in art galleries and purchased for album covers.

He will be remembered not only for his amazing talents but also for his love of family. He was a devoted father and son and loved cooking with his son David, an interest Shawn shared with his own father. Shawn loved family gatherings and the outdoors. He was a loyal friend and well loved by many. Shawn was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School and was employed as a professional truck driver at Pavestone Co. in Middleboro, MA. 

Along with his parents Shawn is survived by the love of his life, Katherine Wolcott Quinn; his son David Quinn of Scarborough, ME; his aunt and uncle Pauline and David Mello of Taunton; his aunt and uncle Carol and William Reed of Jemez Springs, New Mexico; his uncle Roger Therrien of Fall River; his aunt and uncle Mary and Walter Quinn of Westport; and cousins, Riley Canuel, Emily Reed, Angie Taylor, Sheena Poirier, Michael Quinn, Kathy Quinn Chicoine, Pam Manchester, Trish Swift, John Quinn, Jacqueline Quinn and David Quinn.
